Baseball Recap: Magnolia Takes a Loss

River hit Magnolia with a five-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Eagles lost 13-2 to the Pilots. If the Blue Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 14-0 to the Pilots when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Magnolia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rydge Moffitt, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Magnolia and nudges their season record down to 3-9. As for River, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Magnolia has already played their next match, a 14-10 victory against St. Marys on the 21st. As for River, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-2 win against Frontier on the 18th.
