Football Recap: Dixon Has No Trouble Against Natomas

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Casa Roble, Dixon was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took down the Natomas Nighthawks 34-18. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Nighthawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Despite the loss, Natomas saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Josiah Hill rushed for 48 yards and two TDs. Omaure Campbell was in the mix too, providing the Nighthawks with one score.

Dixon's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Natomas, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Dixon will venture away from home to take on Rio Linda at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Natomas, they will head out to challenge Kennedy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Nighthawks will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
