After a string of four wins, Fullerton's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 11-6 to the Villa Park Spartans. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Fullerton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4-1. As for Villa Park, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Fullerton and Villa Park should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Indians will take on Irvine at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (53 vs. 345). Meanwhile, Villa Park (ranked 25th) will meet Pacifica (ranked 542nd) at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 2.8, the Mariners 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
