Wakeland is 9-1 against Reedy since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wolverines will host the Lions at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Wakeland's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Lake Belton 8-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Wakeland's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked second, while Lake Belton are ranked 274th).

Meanwhile, Reedy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Coyotes with a sharp 8-0 win. Give Reedy's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Anna from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Brooklyn Perez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Reedy's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Wakeland, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Everything went Wakeland's way against Reedy in their previous matchup back in February of 2025, as Wakeland made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
