The Edgar Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Newman Fighting Cardinals at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Edgar will be strutting in after a victory while Newman will be coming in after a defeat.

On Friday, Edgar made easy work of Athens and carried off an 8-2 win. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

Jorja Knetter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks.
