Baseball Recap: Rockport-Fulton's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Rockport-Fulton had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They won by a run and slipped past the Ingleside Mustangs 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-1 on April 4th.

Sean Howell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on zero hits and racked up 13 Ks. Rockport-Fulton is 2-1 when Howell posts ten or more strikeouts, but 10-11-1 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Rockport-Fulton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reid Snyder, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

The victory got Rockport-Fulton back to even at 12-12-1. As for Ingleside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Rockport-Fulton nor Ingleside have any future games scheduled.
