Baseball Preview: Vienna Eagles vs. Linn Wildcats
The Vienna Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Linn Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Vienna fell victim to Eugene and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 7-0 to Eugene. Vienna hasn't had much luck with Eugene recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Linn, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Belle 5-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.
Gus Peters made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. Peters was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
