Softball Recap: Ponce De Leon Find Success

Ponce De Leon won the last time they faced Bethlehem and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ponce De Leon Pirates walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Bethlehem Wildcats.

Kiyann Alford was incredible, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sloan Amalie, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

The win got Ponce De Leon back to even at 1-1. As for Bethlehem, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Ponce De Leon will head out to challenge Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vernon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Bethlehem, they will host Cottondale at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
