Football Recap: Sandhills Classical Christian's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After flying high against Berean Baptist Academy last Friday, Sandhills Classical Christian came back down to earth. The Lions lost 62-40 to the Community Christian Cyclones on Friday. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Lions struggled afterwards.

Stephen Edwards had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 175 yards and four scores while picking up 10.9 yards per carry, and also picking up 116 receiving yards and one touchdown for Community Christian. Tee Bohne got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

The defeat snapped Sandhills Classical Christian's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-2 record. As for Community Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Sandhills Classical Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Community Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Lee Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cyclones will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
