Volleyball Recap: Ava Notarberardino and Sophia Niederst Secure Win for Elyria Catholic

It was a proper cat-fight when Elyria Catholic challenged Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin on Thursday. The Panthers came out on top against the Lions by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 25-16, 25-18.

Elyria Catholic was led to victory by Sophia Niederst and Ava Notarberardino. Niederst had 18 digs, while Notarberardino had seven digs and two aces. Those 18 digs gave Niederst a new career-high.

Elyria Catholic's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8.
