Football Recap: Chaparral Bobcats vs. Cedar Park Timberwolves

Chaparral lost against Cedar Park back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bobcats were beaten by the Timberwolves 57-14. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 636th, while the Timberwolves are ranked 138th).

BRYSON COLEMAN threw for 184 yards and a pair of touchdowns. FARLANDO BEARD was his top target, picking up 46 receiving yards. On the ground, DAVIAN ARTHUR rushed for 32 yards.

Trae Samuel Frost Hill had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 220 yards and five TDs while picking up 9.2 yards per carry for Cedar Park. Thanks to that big game, Samuel Frost Hill is now up to 10 rushing touchdowns on the season. Jamal Porter did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 81 receiving yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Chaparral and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Cedar Park, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chaparral will challenge rival Georgetown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cedar Park is set to square off against their familiar foe Rouse at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,011 yards in their previous games.
