Coal City won the last time they faced Reed-Custer, and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Coal City Coalers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Reed-Custer Comets.
Coal City easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-20.
Coal City can attribute much of their success to Sydney Larson, who had six digs and 14 assists. Larson has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more assists the last three times she's played.
Coal City has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-15 record this season. As for Reed-Custer, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-29-1.
