Volleyball Recap: McKinney Takes a Loss

McKinney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Liberty Redhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Leah Duncan paced McKinney's offense, picking up seven kills. Duncan got some help from Keira Gallegos and her 13 assists.

Among those leading the charge was Morgan Ferguson, who had 15 digs and four assists.

McKinney's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Liberty, they moved to 7-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

McKinney has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Northwest on the 23rd. As for Liberty, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Rockwall on the 23rd.
