Soccer Game Preview: Troy-Buchanan vs. Lafayette

The Troy-Buchanan Trojans will head out to face off against the Lafayette Lancers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Troy-Buchanan's offense. They fell 2-0 to Fort Zumwalt East on Thursday. Troy-Buchanan haven't had much luck with Fort Zumwalt East recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Lafayette faced Howell North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Lancers beat the Knights by a goal, winning 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for Lafayette.

Lafayette's win bumped their record up to 7-3-5. As for Troy-Buchanan, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Troy-Buchanan couldn't quite get it done against Lafayette when the teams last played back in May of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
