Pasadena Memorial hasn't had much luck against Pearland recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mavericks will welcome the Oilers at 7:30 p.m.

Pasadena Memorial is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Shadow Creek on Tuesday. Neither the Mavericks nor the Sharks could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Pearland made sure to put some goals up on the board against Dobie on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-2 win over the Longhorns. The victory continues a trend for Pearland in their matchups with Dobie: they've now won eight in a row.

Pearland hit Dobie with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Caden Sparks (2), Isabella Reyes, and Anahi Gil.

With that draw, Pasadena Memorial's record moves to 15-2-1. As for Pearland, their win bumped their record up to 11-6-1.

Pasadena Memorial beat Pearland 3-1 in their previous matchup back in January. Will the Mavericks repeat their success, or do the Oilers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
