Providence has gone 8-2 against Flintridge Prep recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Pioneers will welcome the Wolves at 3:30 p.m. Providence is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Providence nor Chadwick made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Pioneers were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Dolphins. Considering the Pioneers have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Madelynn Watts was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Providence got a big performance out of Evangelina Aleman, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with four RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Aleman has posted since back in March. Delailah Lopez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Flintridge Prep waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolves have posted against the Panthers since April 17, 2018.

Providence has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Flintridge Prep, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
