Softball Preview: Caldwell County Tigers vs. Marshall County Marshals        
        
		
            
 Caldwell County is 2-8 against Marshall County since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday. The Caldwell County Tigers will be playing at home against the Marshall County Marshals at 5:45  p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
 Caldwell County's pitching crew heads into the  match  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Thursday. Everything went their way against Graves County as Caldwell County made off with  a  9-0 win.
 The result came thanks to  alexis wood's shutout, as she gave up just two  hits.
 At the plate,  Harper Holeman was  incredible,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.  Alicia Stanley was another key contributor,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run.
 Meanwhile, Marshall County can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Thursday. They were the clear victor by  a  10-4 margin over Crittenden County. The  victory was familiar territory for Marshall County who now have four in a row.
  Lilly Hayden looked comfortable as she  tossed  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 On the hitting side, Marshall County let  Chloe Coursey and  Marin Oakley loose on the outfield. Coursey  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 4-for-4, while  Oakley  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Trinlee Anderson, who  went 3-for-3 with two  RBI.
 Caldwell County's win  ended  a  four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 12-11-1. As for Marshall County, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven games,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record  this season.
