Basketball Recap: Hughes Springs Takes a Loss

Hughes Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. The match between them and the Bonham Warriors didn't end well, with the Hughes Springs Mustangs falling 47-32.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bonham to victory, but perhaps none more so than Heath Brown, who posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. With that strong performance, Brown is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jk Wilson, who put up ten points along with six boards and three steals.

Hughes Springs' loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Bonham, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8.

Hughes Springs will host Jefferson at 8:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Bonham, they will face off against Pleasant Grove at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th.
