Basketball Recap: Columbus Beats Jefferson for Their Third Straight Win

Columbus won the last time they faced Jefferson and things went their way on Thursday too. The Columbus Cougars strolled past the Jefferson Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 54-38. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won three games in a row.

Jefferson's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Frydenlund, who posted eight points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Geier, who put up seven points and six boards.

Columbus' record is now 10-3. As for Jefferson, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-10.

Columbus has already played their next match, a 55-54 loss against Manhattan on the 7th. As for Jefferson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-62 victory against Huntley Project on the 7th.
