Bauxite proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 21) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Atkins Red Devils, sneaking past 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Miners have posted since April 14, 2025.

Bauxite is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Atkins, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Coming up, Bauxite will be playing at home against Malvern at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Leopards will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Atkins, they will head out on the road to take on Dover at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
