Volleyball Recap: Mount Olive Christian Victorious

It was close, but on Monday Mount Olive Christian sidestepped the Cornerstone Christian Academy Eagles for a 2-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Mount Olive Christian.

Mount Olive Christian was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (60-57), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Maeva Sitagata paced Mount Olive Christian's offense, picking up 11 kills. Sitagata got some help from Claire Miles and her seven assists. Sitagata was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Mount Olive Christian's win bumped their record up to 10-3.

Coming up, Mount Olive Christian will face off against Shreveport HomeSchool Sports at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cornerstone Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
