Baseball Game Preview: Ore City Rebels vs. Overton Mustangs

For the second straight game, Ore City will face off against Overton. The Rebels will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Ore City has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Overton will arrive with three straight victories.

Ore City fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Overton on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Rebels have lost by just one run.

For Overton's part, Rylan Holleman made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Holleman was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Overton's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Ore City, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
