Softball Recap: Warren Takes a Loss

Warren entered their match against Brennan on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Warren Warriors lost 13-3 to the Brennan Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 15-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Miley Vinton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jenna Bonilla, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Warren and nudges their season record down to 4-9. As for Brennan, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Warren will look to defend their home field on Friday against O'Connor at 7:00 p.m. O'Connor will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Warren surely won't give up without a fight. As for Brennan, they will head out on the road to take on Sotomayor at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Brennan's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Sotomayor's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
