Football Recap: Roncalli Royals vs. Northview Knights
With a playoff game on the line, Roncalli rose to the challenge on Friday. They took down the Northview Knights 33-17. Roncalli's win was all the more impressive since the Knights were averaging only 15 points allowed on the season.
Leading Roncalli to victory were Zach Dozier and Collin Ash. Dozier rushed for 162 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, while Ash rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Those 120 rushing yards gave Ash a new career-high.
Roncalli was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 338 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

An impressive showing, but Fell really ramped things up playing D: he made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defended a pass. Another player making a difference was Avery Perry, who picked up 99 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The victory made it two in a row for Roncalli and bumps their season record up to 5-4. As for Northview, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Roncalli will face off against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Roncalli likes a good challenge. Northview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
