Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson lost against Festus back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Blue Jays fell 2-0 to the Tigers.

Ryleigh Johnson paced Jefferson's offense, picking up five kills. Johnson got some help from Halayna Loyd and her 14 assists.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Festus to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jessie Hawkins, who had nine digs and two assists.

Jefferson has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7-3 record this season. As for Festus, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Jefferson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against North County on the 13th. As for Festus, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Potosi on the 13th.
