Basketball Recap: Montebello Takes a Loss

Montebello lost against Ramona back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Oilers fell 70-59 to the Rams. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (56), the Oilers still had to take the loss.

Garrett Pickens had another great game (as he tends to do), almost dropping a double-double with 26 points and nine assists for Ramona. That makes it three consecutive games in which Pickens has scored at least a third of the Rams' points. Another player making a difference was Josiah Franklin, who posted 15 points.

Montebello's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Ramona, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Montebello wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 55-37 win against Rosemead on the 28th. As for Ramona, they have also already played their next contest, a 63-62 victory against Alhambra on the 28th.
