Summit Christian Academy waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Spirit HomeSchool Warhawks. The Eagles not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 26th (when they won 3-0).

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Summit Christian Academy was: they took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-10, 25-9.

Leading Summit Christian Academy to victory were Jenna Yi and Mercy Cooper. Yi had four digs and two aces, while Cooper had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces Cooper has posted since back in August. Hayden Horning also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Summit Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 28 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Summit Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Spirit HomeSchool, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Summit Christian Academy has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Walsingham Academy on the 22nd. Spirit HomeSchool has also already played their next contest (against New Bridge Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
