Basketball Recap: Elliott County Comes Up Short

Elliott County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the West Carter Comets 57-6. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Comets this season, with their most recent defeat being a 59-9 loss back in January.

Elliott County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for West Carter, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-14.

Elliott County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 48-27 loss against Fairview on the 15th. As for West Carter, they have also already played their next contest, a 61-58 defeat against Floyd Central on the 15th.
