Softball Recap: Shorecrest Scots vs. Edmonds-Woodway Warriors

Shorecrest had lost four straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 9-8 to make it five. They fell just short of the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Scots couldn't push the score so high this time.

Claire Maxwell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
