Volleyball Recap: Kapaun Mt. Carmel Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Kapaun Mt. Carmel and Heights, and Kapaun Mt. Carmel kept the tradition alive. The Crusaders walked away with a 2-0 win over the Falcons on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Kapaun Mt. Carmel not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Heights to exactly 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-16.

Mason Palace paced Kapaun Mt. Carmel's offense, picking up nine kills. Palace got some help from McCoy Phister and her 11 assists. Alyssa Hammans controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Kapaun Mt. Carmel has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season. As for Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-18.

Coincidentally, Kapaun Mt. Carmel and Heights will both be playing North the next time they take the court. The Falcons will head out to face the RedHawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Crusaders will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
