Baseball Recap: Miyamura Takes a Loss

After flying high against Rehoboth Christian last Friday, Miyamura came back down to earth. The Patriots fell just short of the Gallup Bengals by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bengals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Miyamura saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Brown, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Brown also scored two runs, which is notable because the Patriots are 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6 otherwise.

Miyamura's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Gallup, they moved to 3-10 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Miyamura has already played their next game, a 5-3 defeat against Aztec on the 3rd. As for Gallup, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-11 loss against Kirtland Central on the 3rd.
