Softball Game Preview: Decatur Eisenhower Panthers vs. MacArthur Generals

The Decatur Eisenhower Panthers will venture away from home to take on the MacArthur Generals at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Decatur Eisenhower's hitters has struggled lately (they haven't scored a run in three consecutive games), something the team is no doubt ready to change.

Decatur Eisenhower fell victim to Jacksonville and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Crimsons, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, MacArthur lost 20-1 to Taylorville on Thursday. The Generals haven't had much luck with the Tornadoes recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Decatur Eisenhower, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Decatur Eisenhower came out on top in a nail-biter against MacArthur in their previous meeting last Tuesday, sneaking past 14-13. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
