After losing to Turpin the last time they met, Archbishop McNicholas decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Rockets skirted past the Spartans 11-10.

The team relied heavily on Lucy Laudeman, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last four times she's played. Leah Anstaett was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Archbishop McNicholas kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Archbishop McNicholas' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-4. As for Turpin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Archbishop McNicholas will head out to square off against Chaminade Julienne Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Rockets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Turpin, they will welcome Anderson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
