After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Foothill, Sierra Vista was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Basic Wolves. The victory continues a trend for the Mountain Lions in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won six in a row.

Sierra Vista had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-19.

Averie Gidge paced Sierra Vista's offense, picking up 13 kills. Gidge got some help from Lyla Sneek and her 42 assists. Sneek was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Basic lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brinley Danczak, who had 17 assists and four digs.

Sierra Vista's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Basic, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Sierra Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Arbor View on the 28th. As for Basic, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Las Vegas on the 28th.
