Basketball Recap: Sale Creek Panthers vs. Chattanooga Prep Sentinels
Sale Creek lost against Chattanooga Prep back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sale Creek Panthers were outmatched by the Chattanooga Prep Sentinels and fell 78-38. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Sentinels are ranked 45th).
Tasuade Williams was nothing short of spectacular for Chattanooga Prep: he went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc to rack up 26 points. That's the most points Williams has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Joel Bulis, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards.
Sale Creek has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season. As for Chattanooga Prep, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-8.
Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panthers take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sale Creek is facing Meigs County at the right time seeing as Meigs County is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. Chattanooga Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
