Basketball Recap: Tonasket Takes a Loss

Tonasket was the 58-52 winner over Brewster when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tonasket Tigers fell 63-51 to the Brewster Bears on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Bears are ranked 57th).

Tonasket dropped their record down to 5-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Brewster, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tonasket has already played their next match (against Cascade), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Brewster will venture away from home to square off against Omak at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Brewster has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 202 points over their last three contests.
