The Trinity Catholic Celtics had to suffer through a 42-14 loss at the hands of the Chiefland Indians. The Celtics have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Trinity Catholic still got an impressive performance from Joey DeRiso, who picked up 142 receiving yards and one TD. DeRiso showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 54 yards.

Chiefland had a senior duo take command as Matt Goodale threw for 167 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes and Demorri Sweet rushed for 170 yards and one score on only 12 carries. Those 170 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Sweet.

Trinity Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Chiefland, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Catholic will challenge Williston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils' defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so the Celtics' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Chiefland, they will face off against Trenton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
