Softball Recap: St. Joseph Bulldogs vs. Nemo Vista Red Hawks
After flying high against Sacred Heart last Tuesday, St. Joseph came back down to earth. The St. Joseph Bulldogs fell 18-15 to the Nemo Vista Red Hawks on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (14), St. Joseph still had to take the loss.
Ashlynne Vote made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored six runs and stole two bases while going 5-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Regan Turner, who went 3-for-6 with three RBI and two doubles.
St. Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Nemo Vista, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Joseph will challenge England at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nemo Vista, they will head out on the road to square off against Sacred Heart at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nemo Vista will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
