Softball Recap: Auburn Riverside Takes a Loss

Auburn Riverside blew Stadium out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Stadium got their revenge. The Ravens fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 10-8. The Ravens were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 12-6.

Danica Butler was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Mayah Cabatan-Flowers, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Auburn Riverside's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Stadium, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Auburn Riverside is set to take on their familiar foe Tahoma at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Stadium will face off against rival Mt. Rainier at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
