Preview: Starr's Mill vs. Carrollton
Starr's Mill and Carrollton are an even 3-3-2 against one another since February of 2017, but likely not for long. The Starr's Mill Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Carrollton Trojans at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Starr's Mill kept a clean sheet against Landmark Christian. They put the hurt on the War Eagles with a sharp 5-0 win. With that win, Starr's Mill brought their scoring average up to 3 goals per game.
They hit Landmark Christian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Hunter Meeks (2),
Luke Turpin (2), and
Carter Ferron.
Meanwhile, Carrollton was able to grind out a solid victory over Columbus on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. Three seems to be a good number for Carrollton as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.
Starr's Mill now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Carrollton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
