Softball Recap: Wyoming Area Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Wyoming Area hadn't done well against Wallenpaupack Area recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Warriors walked away with a 5-1 win over the Buckhorns. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 16-0 victory the Buckhorns walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Alexa Gasek made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Gasek wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Arianna Gaylord, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Wyoming Area has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Wallenpaupack Area, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Wyoming Area nor Wallenpaupack Area have any future games scheduled.
