Softball Recap: Leetonia Falls to Springfield in First Game of Season

Leetonia had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Springfield Tigers, falling 22-3. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 17 in a row.

Coming up, Leetonia will head out to square off against Malvern at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Springfield, they will be playing at home against Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Springfield's pitchers better be ready for this one: Memorial has averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
