Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Preston). They blew past the Canyon Ridge Riverhawks, posting a 61-30 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2019.

When it comes to explaining why Canyon Ridge lost on Thursday, don't look at Ava Stokes. Despite the final result, she posted seven points and seven rebounds. Stokes is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Sadia Salah also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

The victory snapped Preston's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-10 record. As for Canyon Ridge, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-16.

Preston has already played their next contest, a 51-24 win against Century on the 1st. As for Canyon Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 68-22 loss against Rigby on the 4th.
