Volleyball Game Preview: Dixie Flyers vs. Snow Canyon Warriors

Dixie hasn't had much luck against Snow Canyon recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Flyers will challenge the Warriors at 7:00 p.m.

Dixie is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Pine View.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-7, 25-9.

Snow Canyon won the last time they faced Cedar, and Matthew Sierra Velasquez did his part to make sure it happened again. The Warriors blew past the Reds 3-0 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Sierra Velasquez, who had 12 digs and three aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last three games he's played.

While Snow Canyon won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 29-27, 25-14.

Dixie's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Snow Canyon, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-9.

Dixie came up short against Snow Canyon in their previous meeting back in March, falling 3-1. Can the Flyers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
