Basketball Game Preview: Elysian Fields Yellowjackets vs. Garrison Bulldogs

The Elysian Fields Yellowjackets will face off against the Garrison Bulldogs at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Elysian Fields' favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Garrison has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Elysian Fields came up short against Beckville and fell 57-50.

Despite their defeat, Elysian Fields saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Brandon Kennedy, who posted 25 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Jamarion Johnson, who had 14 points.

Meanwhile, Garrison came up short against Broaddus on Saturday, falling 57-37.

Elysian Fields' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. As for Garrison, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Elysian Fields was taken down by Garrison 86-44 in their previous meeting back in December of 2019. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Elysian Fields was down 47-16.
