First Baptist Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged the Neumann Celtics out 36-33. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Celtics: they've now won four in a row.

Several Celtics players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hailey Scheffler, who posted six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mylee Van De wouw, who earned ten points.

First Baptist Academy's record is now 20-6. As for Neumann, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-13.

Looking ahead, First Baptist Academy will take on Evangelical Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Evangelical Christian will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something First Baptist Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Neumann does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
