Preview: Bertrand Vikings vs. Kenesaw Blue Devils

Bertrand is 0-6 against Kenesaw since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Bertrand Vikings will get right back to it and host the Kenesaw Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on February 10th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bertrand entered their tilt with Arapahoe with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Bertrand walked away with a 47-40 victory over Arapahoe on Friday.

Meanwhile, Kenesaw earned a 47-37 victory over Lawrence-Nelson on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Kenesaw.

Kenesaw can attribute much of their success to Maddox Wagoner, who scored 13 points along with two steals, and Jravin Suck, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that Suck scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Steer, who scored seven points along with two blocks.

Bertrand pushed their record up to 8-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Kenesaw, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.

Bertrand came up short against Kenesaw in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 44-34. Will Bertrand have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
