Football Recap: Crest Lancers vs. Centre Cougars
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crest). They breezed by the Centre Cougars at home to the tune of 62-0 on Friday. Considering the Lancers have won four games by more than 45 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Crest wouldn't let Centre keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Crest can thank Elijah Taylor and Drake Weir for forcing both of them.
Crest's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Centre, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
Crest will challenge Marmaton Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marmaton Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Crest likes a good challenge. As for Centre, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lebo on Friday.
