Softball Recap: Athens Hornets vs. Canton Eagles
Athens fell victim to Canton and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Canton Eagles, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Hornets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Athens' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games.
