Softball Recap: Livingston Central's Victory on Sunday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Livingston Central had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Sunday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Trinity Raiders a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Addison Tramble's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Livingston Central got a big performance out of Adalynn King, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple. Those two runs gave King a new career-high. Hadley Hargrove was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Livingston Central's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Trinity, they moved to 10-6 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Livingston Central will host Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity, they will be playing at home against Ohio County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
